WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

I, ____________________, hereby acknowledge and agree as follows:

1. That, on May 17th, 2025 I will participate in the Holleroo ’25 Soap Box Derby.

2. I understand that my participation in the Holleroo ’25 Soap Box Derby is voluntary and potentially dangerous. I acknowledge that the Holleroo ‘25 Soap Box Derby is a recreational or athletic activity and that I am participating at my own risk.

3. To the best of my knowledge, I am in good health and sufficient physical condition to participate in the Holleroo ’25 Soap Box Derby.

4. I hereby release HHP’24 LLC and its employees, agents, departments, and related entities, the City of Knoxville and its employees, agents, departments, and related entities, (including but not limited to the State, Local Education, and Local Government Insurance Committees and the Department of Finance and Administration), all participating sponsors of Holleroo ’25, and the State of Tennessee and its employees, agents, departments, and related entities, (including but not limited to the State, Local Education, and Local Government Insurance Committees and the Department of Finance and Administration), from any and all liability related to or arising from my participation in the Holleroo ’25 Soap Box Derby. This means that I waive the right to bring any claim or lawsuit in any court or administrative forum under any theory of law based on or arising from this activity. This release and waiver includes claims based on allegations of negligence by HHP’24 LLC, the City of Knoxville, all participating sponsors of Holleroo ‘25, the State of Tennessee and any other entity acting in good faith on behalf of the event.

5. This release shall be interpreted under the laws of the State of Tennessee.
